料理について
Kojima is one of Japan’s top regions for octopus fishing. The octopus caught near Kojima in Kurashiki City—where the Seto Inland Sea’s currents run especially fast—is known for its firm texture and rich flavor.
In this area, a traditional favorite is Takomeshi, a savory rice dish cooked with chunks of octopus.
At DENIM HOUSE BON, we serve Takomeshi as part of our breakfast, accompanied by small seasonal side dishes like pickled Mamakaris (a type of herring called sappa) and local gara-ebi shrimp from the Seto Inland Sea.
Enjoy them together with our special miso soup made with a blend of koji miso from Meitō Miso Honpo in Setouchi, Okayama, and gara-ebi shrimp paste.
